Position: MEP Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-safety systems on construction sites or facilities.
- Lead, coordinate, and manage teams of technicians, contractors, and vendors, ensuring efficient use of manpower and resources.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations (e.g., QCS, Kahramaa, OSHA/Saudi OHS), and project specifications.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance tasks; track work orders, labor, materials, and time sheets.
- Conduct site inspections, quality control checks, risk assessments, safety audits, and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot field issues, and resolve reactive maintenance or help-desk requests.
- Maintain and submit accurate documentation—daily progress reports, inspection logs, maintenance records, incident reports—and manage spare parts inventory.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth execution and resolve clashes (often via BIM coordination).
- Respond to emergencies promptly, provide support during critical operations, and may participate in on-call rotation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, MEP, or related engineering field.
- Typically 3–7 years in MEP installation, maintenance, and supervision; 5+ years often preferred for facilities roles.
- Certifications or working knowledge of local/international standards (QCS, Kahramaa, NFPA, OSHA, Saudi Building Codes).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire-protection systems, and mechanical components.
- Leadership and people-management skills to direct technicians and sub-contractors.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting ability for field operations.
- Effective communication to liaise with stakeholders—engineers, consultants, clients—and to report accurately.
- Familiarity with CAD/BIM software tools, technical drawings, and documentation processes.
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining schedules, inventories, and paperwork.
- Safety-conscious mindset with experience enforcing site safety and performing risk assessments.
