Job Description – MEP Supervisor (Instrumentation Specialist)Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced MEP Supervisor with strong specialization in instrumentation and automation systems. The role involves supervising technicians, ensuring proper installation, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation devices, and coordinating with automation engineers to guarantee seamless operation of MEP systems across facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Instrumentation Devices
- Supervise installation, calibration, and maintenance of flow transmitters, pressure transmitters, level sensors, pH analyzers, gas detectors (H₂S, methane, oxygen), temperature sensors, and vibration monitoring devices.
- Ensure accurate signal testing, input/output checking, and alarm troubleshooting.
- System Operations
- Oversee PLC panels, SCADA systems, RTUs, control panels, and VFDs.
- Conduct loop checking, fault diagnosis, and replacement of faulty sensors/transmitters.
- Perform communication network checks to maintain system reliability.
- Automation Support
- Assist automation engineers during modifications and upgrades.
- Ensure pumps start/stop correctly, wet well levels are controlled, and overflow conditions are avoided.
- Verify emergency shutdown systems, backup generators, and alarms function properly.
- Supervisory Duties
- Lead and mentor instrumentation technicians.
- Prepare reports, maintain compliance with safety standards, and coordinate with clients.
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance schedules are executed on time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in instrumentation and MEP systems.
- Strong knowledge of automation, calibration, and fault diagnosis.
- Hands-on experience with SCADA, PLC, RTUs, and VFDs.
- Excellent leadership, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
