MEP/Facilities Maintenance Assistant

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and hands on MEP / Facilities Maintenance Assistant to support our maintenance team in managing the day to day upkeep of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across our industrial manufacturing facility in Dubai. Qualification

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2-4 years of practical experience in MEP or facilities maintenance, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing setting.

Skills

• Hands on knowledge of HVAC systems, LV electrical works, basic plumbing, Civil, Wooden work and fire protection equipment.
• Ability to read and understand basic MEP drawings, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals.
• Familiarity with UAE health, safety, and regulatory standards including Civil Defence and DEWA requirements.
• Good problem solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to work in various conditions including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor environments.
• Computer literacy for logging work orders and maintenance records.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Fluency in English; Hindi is a strong advantage.
• UAE Driving License is a must.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist in executing Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules for all MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection equipment.
• Support seasonal maintenance readiness activities, such as servicing and cleaning AC units prior to the summer season.
• Carry out routine inspection rounds of facilities and utilities to identify defects, leaks, abnormal readings, or potential failures and report findings promptly.
• Perform minor repairs and replacements such as lighting fixtures, switches, sockets, valves, filters, belts, and basic plumbing fixtures.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the MEP In Charge or senior technicians with clear and accurate fault descriptions.
• Follow all safety procedures, permit to work systems, and PPE requirements during maintenance activities.
• Ensure maintenance tasks are carried out in compliance with UAE Civil Defence, DEWA, and facility specific HSE regulations.
• Participate in safety toolbox talks, drills, and training sessions as required.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work orders, inspection checklists, and equipment service logs or manual registers.
• Assist in maintaining an organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials in the storeroom.
• Support the MEP In Charge and contractors during fit out, renovation, or expansion works by providing on site assistance.
