Shelf Management: Arrange products on shelves to ensure maximum visibility and adherence to company planograms.
Stock Rotation (FIFO): Implement First-In, First-Out (FIFO) methods to ensure older stock is sold first, reducing wastage and managing expiry dates.
Replenishment: Regularly restock shelves from backroom inventory or warehouse supplies to prevent out-of-stock situations.
Price Tagging: Ensure all products have correct, updated pricing labels.
Damaged/Expired Stock Handling: Identify, remove, and report damaged, broken, or expired goods, including managing returns.
Order Coordination: Collaborate with store managers and sales teams to place orders, ensuring adequate stock levels.
Store Relations: Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with store managers, supervisors, and staff to secure better shelf space.
Route Planning: Follow a scheduled journey plan (PJP) to visit multiple, assigned retail outlets within a territory.
Competitor Activity Monitoring: Track competitor pricing, new product launches, and promotional activity, sharing these insights with supervisors.
Daily Reporting: Complete daily reports on store visits, highlighting stock levels, display compliance, and any issues in the field.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and move heavy products and fixtures.
Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for maintaining neat, compliant, and attractive displays.
Communication: Good interpersonal skills to negotiate with store staff.
Experience: 1–2 years of experience in retail or FMCG merchandising is often preferred.
