Position Title: Merchandise Allocator
The Merchandise Allocator is responsible for planning and managing the distribution of merchandise across multiple stores or locations, ensuring that stock levels align with sales demand and inventory needs. This position works closely with the buying and merchandising teams to ensure that products are available to customers when needed, contributing to sales goals and overall profitability.

Sales Analysis & Forecasting

Identify emerging sales trends and market shifts to proactively adjust inventory strategies.

Merchandise Allocation & Distribution

Prioritize high-demand stores and markets to optimize product availability and maximize sales.

Adjust allocations dynamically based on in-season sales performance and external factors (e.g., promotions, local events, weather).
- Work closely with distribution centers to ensure smooth product delivery and merchandising processes.
- Allocate stock based on sales forecasts, inventory turnover, store priorities, and seasonal trends.
Inventory Management & Stock Replenishment

Monitor stock levels across all locations to prevent overstocking and stockouts.

Identify replenishment opportunities based on stock performance and demand patterns.

Collaboration & Communication

Partner with marketing teams to align inventory levels with promotional campaigns and product launches.

Act as a liaison between the buying team, distribution center, and other teams to ensure the efficient flow of goods.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess inventory efficiency and sales impact.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, supply chain management, merchandise planning or a related field (preferred).

Previous experience in retail merchandising, allocation, or inventory management (1-3 years preferred).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.

Proficiency in inventory management software, Excel, and other data analysis tools.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments

Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

Knowledge of retail operations and supply chain processes.
