Job Overview:

We are looking for a creative and commercially aware Merchandise Designer & Product Development professional with experience in the home décor industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing innovative home décor products that align with market trends and brand identity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop home décor products including furniture, lighting, textiles, wall décor, and accessories
• Research global trends, materials, colors, and finishes to create competitive product lines
• Work closely with buyers, suppliers, and manufacturers to bring concepts to life
• Develop product specifications, mood boards, and design presentations
• Oversee the full product lifecycle from concept to production
• Source materials, trims, and finishes while ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness
• Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and sales teams for product launches
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities
• Ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Product Design, Fashion Design, or related field
• 2–6 years of experience in merchandise design or product development (home décor preferred)
• Strong design sensibility with an eye for color, texture, and aesthetics
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and sourcing
• Strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
