Position Overview:
Reporting to a member of the MPA team, this Intern will support assortment development, business analysis and allocation strategy; each needed to drive decisions that maximize revenue and profitability across all channels. This role will provide exposure and focus into forecasting, purchasing, reporting, inventory control, distribution and other facets of the MPA process.
Responsibilities:
Merchandise Planning Analysis
Support Planning team in running weekly reporting, as well as providing high-level business recaps and callouts
Perform ad-hoc analysis on various inventory or assortment optimization tests to determine validity and potential next steps
Conduct Wholesale selling analysis at the category level for both Major and Specialty accounts
Assist in reviewing and processing inventory transfer requests for Wholesale accounts
Inventory Buy Quantification
Partner with Planners in the buying process for both monthly fashion assortments as well as replenishment product
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure buy quantities aligns with all channels’ strategy and revenue targets
Allocate New and Replenishment Product
Deep dive into current store selling and assortments to better understand depth, weeks of supply, and assortment send for new and existing stores.
Analyze Web codes, quantify demand of transactions and how to affect future allocations
Review Web sales at specific class/style/sku level to help Planning flow orders directly to Ecommerce on a monthly or quarterly basis.
Support communication and distribution of all replenishment information to key functional areas on a timely basis.
Assist Allocators with new store setup and communication, not limited to taking the lead on new store set up calls.

Basic Excel knowledge required, experience using formulas and pivot tables
