Merchandiser

Epic Apparel is a leading denim buying office specializing in the production of high-fashion denim and knits apparel for US brands. We are currently seeking an experienced and results-driven Merchandiser to join our team.

The Merchandiser will be responsible for overseeing the entire merchandising cycle for customer/brand assigned to them.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end merchandising process for designated accounts.
• Serve as the main point of contact for buyers and the factory, handling all daily communication, updates, and clarifications.
• Coordinate with external factories, including design, sampling, production, and quality assurance, to ensure all buyer requirements are met throughout the production cycle.
• Oversee product development and sampling.
• Conduct costing and price negotiation with suppliers (if needed).
• Develop and manage the Time and Action (T&A) calendar.
• Possess a deep understanding of denim-specific processes, including wet and dry washing, laser finishing, and shade approvals, and communicate these technical details effectively to all stakeholders.
• Monitor production status closely, ensuring quality standards are maintained and conducting inspections as required.
• Regularly update senior management on the status of all orders and account performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in garment merchandising, with solid, hands-on experience in denim production.
• Proven track record of managing and executing orders from development to shipment.
• In-depth knowledge of denim fabric, construction, washing, and finishing processes is a must.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• A strong, positive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
