Merchandiser & Order Booker (FMCG)

Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated Merchandising & Order Booker Representative to manage both order booking and in-store merchandising for our brand. This is a field-based role ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, selling products, and ensuring great visibility in retail outlets.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit assigned retail shops/outlets regularly within the territory.
• Take orders from retailers and ensure timely submission to the sales office/warehouse.
• Achieve monthly sales targets and objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with shop owners and staff.
• Ensure company products are properly displayed, well-stocked, and rotated (FIFO).
• Set up and maintain in-store promotional displays and marketing materials.
• Monitor and report competitor activities, pricing, and in-store promotions.
• Provide daily/weekly sales and merchandising reports to the supervisor/manager.
• Coordinate with delivery teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.

Requirements

• Prior experience in sales, merchandising, or order booking (FMCG preferred).
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
• Familiarity with local retail market and customer base is a plus.
• Physically fit and willing to travel extensively within assigned territory.
• Minimum qualification: Matric/Intermediate. Higher education is a plus.
