Job Summary

The Merchandiser / Procurement Executive will support the product development and purchasing functions for workwear, uniforms, and PPE items. This role involves coordinating with internal departments and vendors to ensure timely sourcing, accurate documentation, and smooth material flow from sample development to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in item creation during the initial product development stage.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders for both local and international suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and product specifications for each style.
  • Follow up on fabric and material consumption for new samples and production styles.
  • Handle local purchasing of regularly used consumables and production supplies.
  • Coordinate sample follow-up, including procurement of materials and tracking of progress.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and supplier databases.
  • Support sample management with organization, labeling, and tracking systems.
  • Collaborate closely with design, production, and logistics teams to align procurement with production timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and contract manufacturing (CM) factories to resolve issues and ensure compliance with quality and delivery requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, Apparel Production, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in procurement, merchandising, or supply chain, preferably in garments, uniforms, or PPE.
  • Basic understanding of purchasing processes, BOM creation, and product development workflows.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP and procurement software (e.g., First Bit).
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with access to structured training and development resources.
