Houston's is currently hiring for a full-time Merchandiser to service our territory in Wenatchee, WA. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced merchandisers and individuals with food and beverage distribution experience to join a growing company. Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday
  • Day Shift

Compensation:

  • $21 per Hour
  • Discretionary quarterly bonuses

Purpose:

Responsible for product merchandising within wholesale foodservice accounts. This includes stocking shelves, rotating shelved products, setting up displays, moving products from storage to the sales floor and assisting customers.

Functions or Duties:

  • Maintain product on store shelves by ensuring appropriate inventory levels and proper product rotation
  • Transport product from backroom to display floor with manual equipment such as pallet jack or flat cart
  • Audit packing list, report discrepancies and return damaged or defective products
  • Build and maintain promotional displays
  • Use handheld devices to input/submit orders
  • Service accounts during designated times established by management
  • Provide exceptional customer service and work closely with personnel
  • Responsible for appearance and cleanliness of accounts

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 18 years or older
  • Valid government-issued identification
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
  • Ability to operate under minimal supervision

Education and Experience:

  • Merchandising or equivalent work experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Lifting, loading, pushing and pulling products weighing upwards 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
  • Climbing stairs or ladders, as well as walking, squatting, kneeling, bending or reaching while merchandising and moving products
  • Be exposed to loud noise and machinery, plus able to judge distances and read signs; therefore, hearing and vision are required
  • Be exposed to cold or heat while performing job duties

Travel:

Required daily driving (personal vehicle) to access multi-store locations within assigned shift. May include driving at night, and/or in the dark, especially in winter months. Mileage is reimbursed to and from store location. Must have valid driver’s license, plus current insurance at all times on your vehicle(s).
