MERCHANDISING MANAGER - GLOBAL FOOTBALL FOOTWEAR

Compensation Range: $38 - 42 per hour

We are seeking a Merchandising Manager to join our client's Global Football team as the essential bridge between market data and consumer reality. Based at the world headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, you will be the strategic architect for the Asia Pacific and Latin America (APLA) geography. This role is a masterclass in blending "art and science"—leveraging deep marketplace insights and foresight to ensure we deliver the right product at the right price and time across six diverse, high-growth markets.

As the primary voice of the consumer for Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia & India, Australia & New Zealand, Mexico, and Central & South America, your mission is to lead the industry in innovation. You will craft a compelling product mix that resonates across every retail environment, from cutting-edge digital platforms to iconic physical storefronts. Responsibilities:
Technical & Analytical Skills

• Data Proficiency: Strong ability to lead the management of merchandising KPIs through robust analysis of retail insights and performance.
• Market Math: Deep understanding of retail key performance indicators, profit-based metrics, and "retail math" (sell-through, margins, etc.).
• Strategic Planning: Skilled in utilizing marketplace data, consumer insights, foresight, and hindsight to develop seasonal plans.
• Tools: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Keynote; experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Miro is a plus.

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Communication: An effective communicator who can provide qualitative and quantitative insights to cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
• Relationship Management: Ability to build positive, trustworthy partnerships with Direct Merchants, Marketing, Consumer Planning, and Territory teams.
• Cultural Awareness: High cultural awareness and the ability to value differences when building assortments for diverse global regions.
• Adaptability: A self-directed, independent worker who responds with speed, agility, and curiosity to a fast-paced market.
• Problem Solving: Proven ability to solve complex problems with limited information and foresee future market implications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years experience in merchandising, product creation, and or retail, in a vertical or wholesale environment.
• Footwear, apparel and/or equipment merchandising experience.
• Understanding of retail key performance indicators and profit based metrics.
• Strong strategy building skills that shape the future of the business.
• Effective communicator that collaborates and brings people together.
• Provides direction and mentorship to teammates.
• Values differences and builds strong relationships with high cultural awareness.
• Proven balance of art and science in decision-making.
• Self-directed, independent, and dedicated.
