Merchant Acquiring - Test Analyst

Responsible for testing and validating merchant acquiring systems, payment gateways, and transaction processing platforms to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance with banking and card scheme standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute test cases for POS, online payments, settlements, refunds, and chargebacks.
• Validate transaction flows across acquiring host, payment networks, and merchant systems.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and UAT support testing.
• Verify compliance with payment standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, scheme rules).
• Identify, log, and track defects; coordinate with developers and business teams for resolution.
• Support certification testing with card schemes and third-party vendors.
• Analyze logs, transaction messages, and reconciliation reports for discrepancies.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of merchant acquiring lifecycle and payment processing.
• Understanding of ISO8583 or similar financial message formats.
• Experience with testing tools, SQL queries, and log analysis.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a banking/payments environment.
