MERN Architect

MERN Architect / Team Lead at Systems Limited Lead the design and development of scalable web applications using the MERN stack, guiding engineering teams in architecture, quality, and delivery of modern full-stack solutions.

Responsibilities:

Design and lead the architecture of full-stack applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js)

Guide development teams in building scalable, secure, and maintainable web applications

Define frontend and backend architecture, coding standards, and best practices

Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js and Express

Architect reusable UI components and frontend frameworks using React

Implement authentication/authorization, validation, logging, and error handling patterns

Lead code reviews, mentoring, and technical guidance for developers

Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders to deliver features across Dev/Test/Prod environments

Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability

Troubleshoot production issues and drive performance optimizations

Support release planning, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies

Requirements:

8+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development with strong expertise in the MERN stack

Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js

Proven experience in system architecture, solution design, and technical leadership

Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills including ES6+ features, async/await, promises, and modular architecture

Deep understanding of React (hooks, state management, component architecture, performance optimization)

Strong backend development experience with Node.js and Express.js

Experience designing RESTful APIs, API versioning, and scalable service architecture

Strong database experience with MongoDB and familiarity with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)

Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems concepts

Experience implementing authentication mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, session management)

Testing experience with Jest, Mocha, or similar frameworks

Strong knowledge of Git workflows and version control practices

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)

Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and containerization tools like Docker
