MERN Stack Developer

Location: Karachi - In-person
Timings: 7pm to 4am (Monday - Friday)

About the Role

Chameleon Ideas seeks a talented MERN Stack Developer to help design, build, and maintain full-stack web applications that seamlessly integrate with our Flutter frontend solutions. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of hands-on experience with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js), and show a strong understanding of how backend services interact with cross-platform mobile apps built in Flutter.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize full-stack applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js).
• Design and build robust RESTful APIs for seamless integration with Flutter frontends.
• Collaborate with frontend and mobile teams to deliver responsive user experiences across platforms.
• Optimize database schemas, queries, and aggregation pipelines for performance and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization systems (JWT/OAuth).
• Assist with code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Integrate and maintain third-party APIs and external services as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1–2 years of full-stack development experience with the MERN stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js.
• Knowledge of backend and API development best practices for Flutter integration.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (and optionally TypeScript), HTML5, CSS3.
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Familiarity with database schema design and query optimization.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API standards; GraphQL experience is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (preferred).

Nice to Have

• Experience working with Flutter mobile frontends or Dart.
• Exposure to cloud services (AWS/Firebase), CI/CD pipelines, or Docker.
• Knowledge of payment gateway integration (e.g., Stripe) or additional frameworks (Redux, Next.js).
• Familiarity with Linux/NGINX server environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs200,000.00 per month
