Metal Fabrication Generalist

Position Summary: To accomplish their primary goal of creating and welding metal parts and assemblies, must read and understand engineering blueprints and plans to know exactly what is required of any project. They must follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures in all the work they do. opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people, and work in a positive, motivated work environment that offers lots of on-the-job training and coaching.

Essential Responsibilities:

Produce quality parts to meet customer deadlines and requirements

Be productive in a team setting

Conduct quality checks on fabricated parts

Ability to operate different tools such as height gauge, mics & caliper

Become familiar with all facets of the metal fabrication department which includes, but is not limited to, robotic welders, break presses, lasers, and manual welding

Non-Essential Responsibilities:

Shovel, sweep, or otherwise clean work areas.

Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.

Performing other duties as assigned.

Discard scrap metal

Supervision Received:

Specific Direction: Follows established work procedures. Receives periodic checks for performance. Refers unique questions/conditions to immediate supervisor.

Education & Experience:

High School diploma or GED

Ability to read and understand blueprints

5+ years of experience

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of raw materials, production processes.

Ability to stand for 8+ hours a day

Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Experience with a tube laser or flat laser is a plus
