About the Role
As a Metal Fabrication Technician, you will play a vital role in our production cycle by transforming raw materials into high-quality components. You will utilize your technical expertise to operate advanced machinery, ensuring that every piece meets precise engineering standards while maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
Responsibilities-
Interpret complex shop drawings to determine exact material dimensions and operational requirements.

Operate and calibrate metalworking machinery, including press brakes, lasers, and plasma cutters, to shape sheet metal components.

Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and tooling to maximize machine uptime and production output.

Conduct thorough quality inspections to ensure all finished parts adhere to strict tolerance and design specifications.

Collaborate with the inventory team to manage material flow and optimize workspace organization.

Actively participate in safety initiatives to foster a secure, hazard-free manufacturing environment.

Grind, buff, and finish seams and joints to achieve professional-grade surface quality.

Troubleshoot mechanical issues during the fabrication process to minimize production delays.
Qualifications-
High school diploma or equivalent.

At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing setting.

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical shop drawings and blueprints.

Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Prior experience operating CNC equipment, such as Turrets, Press Brakes, or Laser cutters.

Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or similar production tracking software.

Basic computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Proven ability to program or learn to program numerical control (N.C.) machinery.
