We are seeking a skilled Metering & BMS Technician to support the reliable operation, monitoring, and maintenance of utility metering systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), and HVAC controls. Job Purpose

To ensure efficient, stable, and accurate performance of utility metering systems, BMS infrastructure, and HVAC controls through continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain BTU, water, energy, and chilled water metering systems.
• Work with communication protocols such as M-Bus, Modbus, BACnet, BACnet/IP, and LoRaWAN.
• Perform point-to-point testing of sensors, actuators, controllers, and metering interfaces.
• Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and as-built documents.
• Support meter integration with BMS, AMI, and IoT platforms.

2. Operation & Maintenance

• Handle O&M and troubleshooting for BMS systems and HVAC field equipment (FAHUs, AHUs, FCUs, chillers, pumps).
• Work with HVAC controls, DP sensors, flow meters, actuators, and temperature sensors.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for meters and BMS devices.
• Diagnose issues such as low delta-T, inaccurate readings, offline meters, and communication failures.
• Replace faulty components including meters, DP transmitters, relays, actuators, M-Bus modules, and cabling.

3. Reporting & Compliance

• Record and report daily meter readings, BMS alarms, system trends, and observations.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance checklists, calibration logs, and asset documentation.
• Update work orders and maintenance logs through CAFM/CMMS systems.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, OSHAD, Civil Defense, and LOTO safety protocols.
• Report abnormalities such as consumption spikes, system inefficiencies, or recurring faults.

Qualifications

• B.E. / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience & Competencies

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in ELV, BMS, and MEP system O&M, installation, testing, commissioning, and system troubleshooting/reporting.

Core Competencies

• Strong knowledge of BTU, water, and energy metering systems (M-Bus, Modbus, LoRaWAN).
• Experience with BMS platforms (Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider, Niagara N4).
• Solid understanding of HVAC controls and CHW systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and metering layouts.
• Familiarity with UAE Fire Code, NFPA, and OSHAD safety standards.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
