About this opportunity:

Ericsson Mobile Financial Services is entering a new strategic phase, evolving beyond traditional mobile money platforms into fintech innovation, digital banking enablement, embedded finance, and next-generation ecosystem platforms.

We are looking for a Director of MFS Market Growth & Ecosystem Development to drive global expansion, Go-To-Market excellence, ecosystem building, and sales acceleration. The role will position Ericsson MFS as a global fintech innovation leader, enabling new growth opportunities across telecom operators, digital banks, fintechs, and financial ecosystems.

The role will play a critical part in expanding Ericsson’s presence in emerging and developed financial ecosystems, supporting global sales teams, and accelerating revenue growth through ecosystem-led strategies.

What you will do:

  • Act as a senior fintech industry expert and strategic advisor to the global sales organization, helping position Ericsson MFS within the evolving fintech, digital banking, and financial ecosystem landscape.
  • Provide market intelligence and thought leadership on fintech trends, digital banking evolution, and ecosystem innovation to guide Ericsson’s strategic positioning and customer engagement.
  • Support regional sales teams in strategic positioning, customer engagement, and executive discussions, helping articulate Ericsson’s value proposition to telecom operators, banks, fintechs, and regulators.
  • Drive market growth initiatives and ecosystem engagement, leveraging industry relationships to open new opportunities and strengthen Ericsson’s presence across fintech and digital financial ecosystems.
  • Contribute to pipeline development and opportunity qualification by helping identify high-potential opportunities, shaping early customer conversations, and supporting sales teams during the qualification and pursuit phases.
  • Strengthen the Go-To-Market narrative and industry positioning of Ericsson MFS by translating fintech trends, market developments, and ecosystem dynamics into actionable sales insights.
  • Provide sales enablement and strategic guidance to regional teams, helping improve positioning, messaging, and deal approach in complex fintech and digital banking opportunities.
  • Act as an external thought leader and ambassador for Ericsson MFS, engaging with industry stakeholders, partners, and events to reinforce Ericsson’s credibility as a fintech innovation enabler.
  • Lead ecosystem-driven initiatives that accelerate pipeline growth and revenue generation, working closely with Sales, Product, Strategy, and Marketing teams.

The skills you bring:

  • Must: Strong experience in mobile money, digital wallets, fintech ecosystems, and financial services innovation.
  • Must: Proven background in fintech, digital banking, payments, and ecosystem partnerships.
  • Experience driving market expansion strategies, GTM programs, and business development initiatives.
  • Experience working across multiple regions and complex multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Ability to engage effectively with CXO-level stakeholders across telecom operators, banks, fintechs, and regulators.
  • Global or multi-regional experience in fintech and digital financial services strongly preferred.
  • Multilingual capabilities are considered an advantage.
