PeaceHealth is seeking a Mgr Communications for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $44.11 – $66.17. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.
Job Summary
Manages day-to-day strategic communications and planning efforts and oversees implementation of activities and teams dedicated to communications. Responsible for outcomes measurements related to internal communications and supports external crisis/issues management communication needs. Ensures brand stewardship, service excellence, quality and adherence to regulatory and compliance standards as appropriate. Manages relationship with strategic communications agency/partner. Responsible for all aspects of communications including communication utilization practices of internal audiences. Responsible for educating and socializing measurable, effective approaches and insights within all levels of the organization. Works collaboratively with internal stakeholders to garner alignment including provider and recruiter communication needs.
Essential Functions

Manages day-to-day communications workflows. Holds communications specialists accountable for assuring reach and impact of messaging with targeted audiences.

Oversees communications planning needs to include mission-driven initiatives. Accountable for implementation of communications plans. Partners with Manager of Public Relations in planning and navigating issues management and crisis management concerns.

Supports system and local executives in engagement of key stakeholders, including caregivers, providers, board members and community groups.

May also support special event planning and sponsorship engagements at the local level.

Identifies the professional growth needs and opportunities of communications specialists. Coordinates and organizes necessary trainings and workshops that will advance personal and collective team skill growth. Directs staff to establish targets and track results to measure effectiveness of communication efforts.

Supports director of Communications through delivering excellent communications support to senior executive leaders to include planning and creation of deliverables.

Manages the relationships across the Marketing and Communications division to ensure synergistic functionality between competencies while deepening relationships with other departments to ensure alignment, engagement and trust.

Serves as collaborative partner with Social Media Strategists to assure PeaceHealth Voice, Brand and Identity are consistent internally and externally.

Manages local caregiver and external publications, developing online content and other promotions related to programs and events. Plans and implements caregiver communications (The Caregiver, intranet, recognition, etc.) in support of system communication objectives.

Serves as a steward of PeaceHealth Mission, Vision, Values and stewardship of PeaceHealth brand and reputation.

Qualifications
Education

Bachelor's Degree Required: Journalism or

Bachelor's Degree Required: Mass Communications or

Bachelor's Degree Required: Marketing or

Bachelor's Degree Required: Business or related field, or a combination of education and professional experience that provides the caregiver with the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the job
Experience

Minimum of 5 years Required: Experience in communications or related field and
- Minimum of 2 years Required: Leadership experience
