Mgr Employee Relations

Specific Job Functions:

  • Serve as the primary Human Resources partner for employee relations and labor relations matters across assigned departments.
  • Provide guidance to leaders and employees regarding policy interpretation, performance management, corrective action, workplace concerns, and employment practices.
  • Conduct prompt, thorough, and objective investigations involving employee complaints, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, misconduct, policy violations, and workplace disputes.
  • Manage suspension pending investigation cases, including due process meetings, witness interviews, evidence collection, investigative documentation, and recommendations.
  • Promote positive employee and management relations through conflict resolution, coaching, and effective communication.
  • Conduct employee roundtable sessions and gather feedback to identify workplace concerns and operational trends.
  • Maintain regular visibility throughout the property by attending departmental meetings, pre-shift meetings, and operational discussions to provide Human Resources support and communication.
  • Administer and interpret collective bargaining agreements while ensuring consistent application of contractual provisions, company policies, and employment practices.
  • Receive, investigate, and track grievances and other labor relations matters in accordance with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Assist in preparing grievance responses, board of adjustment hearings, arbitrations, and other labor relations proceedings.
  • Partner with Human Resources leadership and legal counsel regarding employment-related claims, investigations, regulatory matters, and compliance issues.
  • Handle unemployment claims and coordinate responses with third-party administrators and legal representatives as appropriate.
  • Develop, review, and maintain Human Resources policies, procedures, and related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records, case files, reports, and documentation within designated Human Resources systems.
  • Prepare reports and summaries regarding employee relations trends, investigations, grievances, and workplace concerns.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
