Job Summary: Lead regional talent acquisition operations by overseeing Regional Recruiters and supporting high-volume hourly recruiting teams to deliver exceptional recruitment results across all field salary and hourly positions. This role combines strategic leadership of distributed recruiting teams with deep technical expertise in recruitment systems, platforms, and emerging AI technologies. Expected to drive recruitment efficiency through technology optimization, process improvement, and team development while ensuring Wayne-Sanderson Farms attracts and hires top talent across all field operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Operations
  • Lead and coach Regional Recruiters, developing recruitment strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring consistent high standards across multiple locations.
  • Oversee high-volume hourly recruiting teams, monitoring performance metrics, facilitating training sessions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and operational leaders to develop tailored recruitment solutions, managing escalations and guiding complex recruiting situations.
Systems Strategy & Process Excellence
  • Serve as a strategic liaison between Talent Acquisition operations and technology platforms
  • Translate business needs into clear system requirements and process improvements.
  • Work with platform administrators to implement process changes, test new system features, and provide detailed feedback on system performance to champion adoption and maximize platform capabilities.
  • Develop business cases for technology investments and monitor system utilization, recommending optimizations to improve recruitment efficiency and candidate experience.
Training & Change Management
  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs on system processes and best practices for Regional Recruiters, creating and maintaining process documentation and user guides.
  • Lead change management initiatives for system updates, ensuring process compliance through audits and providing ongoing coaching for system optimization and candidate experience enhancements.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions to highlight successful practices and capture insights on system functionality and process effectiveness.
Process & Program Management
  • Standardize recruiting processes for field salary roles, maintaining playbooks and templates, and tracking KPIs for effectiveness, efficiency, and candidate experience.
  • Conduct compliance audits and manage vendor relationships, coordinating capacity planning and workload distribution across the recruiting team to support employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives.
Strategic Initiatives
  • Analyze labor market trends to inform recruiting strategies and develop innovative sourcing tactics for high-turnover and business-critical roles.
  • Build strategic talent pipelines and work with operations leaders to forecast hiring needs, leading modernization projects to streamline recruiting operations.
  • Evaluate recruiting processes for improvement opportunities, partnering with TA leadership on strategic planning and representing Talent Acquisition in cross-functional projects.
Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure recruiting activities comply with employment laws, maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with company policies.
  • Generate reports on recruiting metrics and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership, supporting audits and ensuring compliance standards are upheld by Regional Recruiters.
Experience
  • Possess a minimum of 7+ years in talent acquisition with progressive responsibilities and at least 3 years leading regional recruiting teams or managing recruiters, including experience in high-volume hourly recruiting environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing recruiting operations in multi-site or regional environments, with a strong background in full-cycle recruiting for professional and salaried positions, particularly within field-based or multi-location operations.
  • Extensive experience utilizing Workday ATS (Recruiting and Candidate Engagement modules) and CRM platforms such as Phenom, iCIMS, and Radancy, with a proven ability to translate business requirements into effective system processes and enhancements.
  • Proven track record in improving recruiting metrics through process optimization, supported by experience in change management and technology adoption initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Deep understanding of recruiting best practices, candidate experience strategies, and regulatory compliance requirements, with a preference for candidates with experience in the poultry (protein), agriculture, or manufacturing industries and reporting tools.
  • Exhibits exceptional leadership and coaching abilities, developing high-performing teams and utilizing advanced analytical skills to identify process gaps, recommend solutions, and ensure compliance with employment law and quality assurance standards.
  • Excellent communication skills enable effective stakeholder influence at all levels, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously through strong project management skills.
  • A strategic thinker with robust business acumen and a strong customer service orientation, thriving in fast-paced, dynamic environments by making sound decisions, solving complex problems, and driving the adoption of new processes through proven change management skills.
  • Demonstrates strong systems aptitude, able to understand platform capabilities and translate business needs into technical requirements, complemented by proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to field locations, recruiting events and meetings
Supervisor Responsibilities
  • This role is a Leader of People role and will manage a team with two or more full-time employees
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related degree
    • Combination of experience and education may be substituted for degree
