Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Professional (MHP) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions.
- Deliver evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to individual needs.
- Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure patient safety during acute episodes.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions focusing on issues such as grief, trauma (including PTSD), addiction, gender identity, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and chronic pain management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate social work principles, medical terminology, psychopharmacology considerations, and HIPAA-compliant medical documentation.
- Facilitate intake procedures, patient care coordination, and case management activities to support ongoing recovery efforts.
- Engage in clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to advance mental health practices and improve patient outcomes.
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to extend services remotely while maintaining high standards of patient confidentiality and medical records accuracy.
Experience
- Proven experience in clinical counseling or behavioral health roles within outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Strong background in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and behavior management techniques.
- Demonstrated ability working with children, adolescents, adults with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, geriatrics, or individuals with complex trauma or PTSD.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation purposes.
- Experience conducting intake assessments and managing crisis situations with effective crisis intervention skills.
- Telehealth experience preferred; ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for virtual delivery is highly valued.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health conditions and familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring patient privacy at all times.
- Prior involvement in clinical research or data collection projects is advantageous but not mandatory.
