Position: Microbiologist

Reporting to: Manager Microbiology

Division: Established Pharmaceutical Division - Operation

Location: Karachi -Landhi Plant

Job Summary:

To support the Microbiology Manager in coordinating and overseeing all activities within the micro-lab, including both sterile and non-sterile areas, ensuring these tasks lead to team success, timely product release, and zero-line failures.

Major Responsibilities:

• Perform the Microbiological testing ,required for Raw Materials, Finished Products, AMC, media fill run and challenge test of autoclave and dry heat sterilizer
• Maintain inventory of prepared media and culture as per frequency
• Conduct all the Microbiological sampling and testing and as per the approved protocols for facility / utilities / environment / equipment and product validation by the validation section
• Ensure best standard of House Keeping in Micro Lab and washing area
• Collect sampling of water (WFI/DI/PW) as per schedule and Perform sampling of finished products of SVP area as per manufacturing plan
• Perform sampling of air (viable & non-viable), swabs, gowning swabs, gloves prints and commodity samples as per schedule
• Conduct sampling of Glucose liquid as per Procedure

Education/Knowledge & Experience:

• Science Graduate/Master; preferably in Microbiology
• 1-2 years’ experience in the same capacity
• Proficient in MS Office
• Analytical Skills
