Microservices- Technology Lead

A skilled Microservcies Lead with hands-on experience in NestJS-based microservices to support, maintain, and troubleshoot backend systems in production. This role focuses on ensuring system reliability, resolving incidents, and collaborating with engineering teams to improve service stability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Provide L2/L3 production support for microservices built using NestJS and Node.js

Monitor system health, logs, and metrics to proactively identify issues

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve backend service incidents and outages

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and document incidents and resolutions

Support API-related issues (REST/GraphQL) and service-to-service communication

Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) to diagnose data and performance issues

Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to deploy fixes and improvements

Assist with incident management, on-call rotations, and escalation handling

Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and support documentation

Identify recurring issues and suggest long-term improvements to system stability

Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions

Mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Write clean, testable, and well-documented code for new features, enhancements, bug fixes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience supporting NestJS and Node.js backend applications

Understanding of microservice architecture

Hands-on experience troubleshooting REST APIs and backend services

Familiarity with databases any RDBMS, MongoDB, or Redis

Experience working with logs, monitoring, and alerting tools

Basic understanding of Docker and containerized environments

Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical teams

Preferred-to-Have Skills

Experience with message queues (Kafka, Solace)

Exposure to Kubernetes and cloud platforms (Azure, GCP)

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

Experience with incident management tools

Understanding of basic security and performance tuning concepts

Additional Information:

- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Microservices and Light Weight Architecture.

- This position is based at our Doha office.

- A 15 years full time education is required.

- Troubleshooting experiences (tools, logs analysis etc.) and quick Troubleshooting skill

- 5 years of Experience in Application / Platform support activities, proficient in ITSM tool, processess and Support activities.

- Willing to work in shifts, on-call for Operational supports

Pay: QAR14,000.00 - QAR17,000.00 per month
