Microsoft SQL Server Database Developer

Job brief

You will be a part of a creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.

Responsibilities

• Working as part of the Database Team to help plan, design and develop code for SQL Server
• Working with team members on helping them to understand and analyze data
• Work with team members to write relevant SQL queries for their respective applications.

Required Skill Sets

• 3+ years in a technical role within the Microsoft SQL Server 2014 - 2016
• Knowledge of logical and physical data modelling concepts (relational and dimensional)
• Good understanding of relational databases and analysis skills
• Knowledge of creating Optimised SQL Query, Query Optimisation, Performance
• Tuning Techniques, Table Structures, Indexes, Stored procedures, Triggers, Joins etc.
• Understanding of data integration issues
• Demonstrated ability to use data to troubleshoot business problems
• Demonstrated ability to identify, assess and troubleshoot data issues
• Experience developing test scripts / procedures and executing test plans
• Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills are required to support
