Sr Data Engineer

We are seeking a mid-level Data Engineer to join our Data Science, Reporting & Analytics team. This role will focus on building scalable data pipelines, optimizing data architecture, and enabling analytics across enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for data quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Development : Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake, Informatica, SSIS, and cloud-native services (AWS/Azure).
Data Integration : Consolidate data from multiple transactional systems into unified models to support analytics and reporting.
Platform Optimization : Monitor job execution, data volumes, and latency; recommend improvements to data architecture and event pipelines.
Collaboration : Partner with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to support data workflows and platform services.
Governance & Security : Manage access controls via Active Directory and Azure AD; ensure compliance with ITIL and ITSM standards.
Documentation & Support : Maintain technical documentation and provide support for data platform operations.

Skills & Qualifications
5–8 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with Snowflake, SQL Server, or Postgres.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and scheduling tools (Active Batch, Autosys).
Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and performance tuning.
Experience with monitoring tools and diagnostic reporting.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Experience
Exposure to Master Data Management (MDM) and transactional data stores.
Experience supporting analytics and machine learning workflows.
Prior work in ed-tech or enterprise data environments is a plus.
