Mid Backend Developer (Node.js)

Role overview:

We are looking for a Backend Developer (Node.js) to own key areas of our platforms. You will design, implement, and maintain features critical to the business, working on production systems deployed on AWS. This is a hands-on role with ownership and responsibility for the stability, performance, and scalability of microservices.

Role Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain backend services in Node.js with PostgreSQL databases

· Design and implement REST APIs for internal and external integrations

· Maintain and extend a microservices architecture supporting multiple platforms

· Own production systems, including the Baroque Properties dashboard

· Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders

· Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of engineering practices

· Monitor and optimise performance, reliability, and scalability of services

· Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot services on AWS infrastructur

Requirements

· 3+ years experience in Node.js development

· Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and database design

· Experience building and maintaining microservices architectures

· Proven experience with REST APIs and production backend systems

· Familiarity with AWS deployment and cloud infrastructure

· Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows

· Fluent English
