Mid-Corporate Sr Manager - VP (UAE Nationals Only) - Dubai

Role involves achieving results through managing professional teams and departments, applying industry expertise within a defined area, and contributing to standards and objectives of the function. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas integrate within the sub-function and coordination with the wider function. Requires basic commercial awareness and developed communication and diplomacy to guide, influence and collaborate with colleagues and external customers. Manages volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results for an area and may be responsible for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within the area of expertise. Involves short-term resource planning and full management responsibility of a team, which may include performance evaluations, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and budget considerations.

Responsibilities
  • Identifies cross-sell opportunities to deepen and increase share of wallet
  • Calls on clients to deepen relationships and proactively addressing needs, roadblocks or risks, leveraging internal resources as needed
  • Introduces financial solutions to build and strengthen client portfolios
  • Works with Case Manager on onboarding and retention, ensuring KYC and other compliance deliverables are met
  • Maximizes client experience by sharing market updates, trends and intelligence
  • Drives innovation in client solutions and develops the business appropriately
  • Identifies and pursues new clients aligned with Citi Commercial Bank value proposition
  • Networks with clients to identify opportunities for new business
  • Prepares or oversees new transaction submissions and annual reviews for credit lending management and risk department
  • Ensures deals are structured to balance risk and reward and align incentives with client interests
  • Ensures regulatory and Citi policy compliance at all times
  • Nurtures and mentors future talent within the business
  • Collaborates with Country Head/Team Head to set targets and execute near- to mid-term strategy
  • Drives team performance on economic and cultural measures
  • Provides oversight and controls to meet business benchmarks ethically and compliantly
  • Assesses risk in business decisions, upholding firm reputation and safeguarding Citi, clients and assets; escalates and reports control issues; supervises others to maintain standards
Qualifications
  • 6-10 years of experience
  • Sound knowledge of banking and investment products and ability to provide sound banking and financial advice
  • Demonstrates core credit skills
  • Demonstrates intermediate Early Warning Detection skills
  • Ability to close deals and manage the credit origination process, document gathering and account monitoring
  • Advanced understanding of accounting principles, financial modeling and financial statement analysis
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Strong ability to drive tasks to completion with stakeholders across functions
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Team player with a positive, proactive approach
  • Focused, able to identify priorities and communicate them clearly
  • Full management responsibility for a team, including people, budget and planning; includes performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and budget approval
  • Proactive in strengthening client relationships and delivering a simple, secure client experience
  • Ability to embrace new technology and digital roles in client experience
  • Able to adapt priorities based on data insights
  • Strong business development focus and innovative approaches
Education
  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
