Mid-Level Data Engineer

Andrew Morgan, LLC is a rapidly growing Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and HUBZone-certified organization. We are seeking a qualified Data Engineer to support a potential contract award with a DOD Client. This role is contingent upon contract award and will play a critical part in our efforts to deliver exceptional results for this opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Data Engineer supports the technical foundation of DHA's data governance effort through automation and integration.

• Design and implement governed data products aligned with DHA standards
• Support metadata enrichment, lineage documentation, and quality indicators
• Collaborate with domain owners and data stewards to refine product definitions
• Support lifecycle pilots and governance process testing
• Enable downstream analytics, AI, and reporting use cases

REQUIREMENTS:

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL and Python (Ra plus)
• Experience integrating data from relational databases, APIs, and semi-structured sources
• Familiarity with metadata extraction, data profiling, and lineage concepts
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and services
• Ability to implement automated validation and data quality checks
• Experience troubleshooting ingestion, transformation, and performance issues
• Familiarity with secure data handling in regulated environments
• Eligibility for Tier 1 background investigation

SALARY:

Salary is commensurate with both location and experience.
