A Creative Technologist bridges the gap between design vision and engineering execution, using experimentation to solve problems in new and novel ways. This role combines technical expertise with human-centered design to prototype and implement innovative solutions. Creative technologists blend expertise in code, hardware, and emerging technologies to bring ideas to life.

As a Creative Technologist at Kyndryl, you will:

  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to shape technical concepts aligned to human-centered design.

  • Rapidly prototype interactive, testable experiences to drive alignment, learning, and value.

  • Apply emerging technologies to business challenges, including AI/ML/GenAI, IoT, and immersive interfaces.

  • Lead feasibility analysis and ethical review of technology choices.

You’re good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important – you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. Required Skills and Experience

  • You have 5+ years in creative technology , innovation labs, or similar roles, and a strong portfolio of concept-to-prototype projects.

  • You bridge human-centered design and engineering fluently — understanding both creative intent and technical depth.

  • You can comfortably discuss feasibility, data integration, and AI/ML applications within design.

  • You thrive in collaborative, co-creation environments with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

  • You communicate clearly, think systemically, and enjoy turning abstract ideas into something people can touch and feel.

  • You’re experienced with rapid prototyping, UX experimentation , and tools like Figma, Figma Make, MiroAI, React, Three.js, or Unity.

  • Ability to a pply new and emerging technologies

  • Leveraging AI tools and data strategies with awareness of equity, bias, and transparency.

  • Ability to translate prototypes and technical insights into compelling narratives.

  • Assessment of design’s technical feasibility, system integration, and implementation pathways.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (or equivalent demonstrable portfolio of work).

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Vertical domain experience (e.g., finance, retail, healthcare, industrial).

  • Experience in both enterprise and agency environments.

  • Knowledge and experience in IT infrastructure, architecture, and platform capabilities.

  • Background in behavioral science, change management, or design research.

  • Applied or academic experience with data science, AI/ML, or HCI.

  • Advanced degree or certification in design, HCI, computer science, or related (e.g., MDM, MDes, MFA, d.MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
