Description:
Precision Prep is seeking dynamic and student-centered Math and Science teachers to support students in grades 6–12 through a combination of in-person instruction, online learning support, and one-on-one tutoring. This role is ideal for an educator who values small class environments, personalized learning, and building strong relationships with student-athletes.
Job Duties Include (but are not limited to):
- Manage and organize the learning environment
- Provide in-person math and science instruction for middle and high school students
- Monitor and support students in online coursework, ensuring progress and accountability
- Deliver one-on-one and small group tutoring to reinforce concepts and close learning gaps
- Track student performance and provide regular feedback to students and families
- Support students in developing organization, study skills, and academic independence
- Develop instructional units based on standards
- Differentiate instruction through standards aligned rubric
- Establish high expectations and consistent classroom procedures.
- Maintain an organized and inviting learning environment.
- Develop parent-community partnerships
- Encourage parent involvement through volunteer opportunities
- Maintain communication with parents on a regular basis
- Facilitate parent-teacher conferences
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to oversee the mission, vision and school values
- Attend professional development and faculty meetings
- Participate in the development of curriculum and assess its effectiveness.
- Collaborate with staff to align instruction with school goals and student needs
- Continue ongoing education and professional development
- Attend workshops, seminars and courses to enhance pedagogy and knowledge.
- Participate in collaborative coaching sessions.
- Seek professional development opportunities to increase knowledge of best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
- Experience teaching middle and high school math and science courses
- Valid Texas Professional Certificate
Preferred Requirements
- Gifted and Talented Certification
- ESL Certification
- Three plus years teaching experience
