Position Title:

Middle School Building Based Substitute Teacher

Anticipated Work Location/Hours:

Veronica E. Connor Middle School 7:25 AM to 2:25 PM

Salary:

$200.00 per day - 4 days per week

Duties:

• Provide daily classroom coverage for absent teachers across grade levels and subject areas within the building.

• Maintain established classroom routines, ensure a safe learning environment, and support positive student behavior.

• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support instructional goals and student learning.

• Assist with supervision duties and other school-wide responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid New York State Teaching Certificate/meet NYSED requirements for substitute teaching

• Bachelor's degree required; degree in Education or related field preferred.

• Prior experience working with middle/secondary school students in an educational setting is strongly preferred.

• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills to effectively support instruction and maintain a positive learning environment.
