Middle School Social Science Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Social Science lessons aligned with the middle school curriculum.
  • Teach core subjects including History, Geography, Civics, and Economics as prescribed for the grade level.
  • Develop lesson plans, worksheets, maps, projects, and assessments to meet academic objectives.
  • Use interactive teaching strategies such as discussions, debates, timelines, case studies, and activities.
  • Encourage critical thinking, analytical skills, and awareness of social, cultural, and civic responsibilities.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ academic progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Create an inclusive, disciplined, and positive classroom environment.
  • Integrate current affairs, real-world examples, and technology into classroom teaching.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding students’ academic performance and progress.
  • Participate in curriculum planning, teacher trainings, school events, and academic meetings.
  • Adhere to school policies, academic standards, and child safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History, Geography, Social Science, or a related field.
  • B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (mandatory).
  • Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience at middle school level (preferred).
  • Strong subject knowledge across Social Science disciplines.

  • Ability to make concepts engaging and relatable for middle school students.
  • Student-centric and inquiry-based teaching approach.
  • Proficient in using digital tools and smart classroom technology.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,968.82 - ₹45,010.22 per month
