Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Middle School Teacher who has a background working with students with disabilities to inspire and educate students during this pivotal stage of their academic journey. Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies.
  • Implement effective classroom management techniques to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Utilize learning technology and digital resources to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparation.
  • Provide personalized tutoring and academic advising to support individual student needs and learning styles.
  • Incorporate creative writing, literacy education, and public speaking exercises to develop communication skills.
  • Mentor students in extracurricular activities such as sports coaching or library services, fostering holistic development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, special education, Montessori methods, or education administration.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior management strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; advanced certifications preferred.
  • Proven classroom experience working with middle school students in diverse educational settings.
  • Strong knowledge of core subjects including Math (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus), Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies.
  • Familiarity with AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, copy editing, proofreading, and standardized testing procedures.
  • Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and integrating learning technology tools.
  • Excellent communication skills—public speaking abilities are highly valued.
  • Demonstrated skills in classroom management, behavior management techniques, and childhood development principles.
  • Ability to work effectively with children of varying needs, including those requiring special education support or Montessori approaches.
  • Passion for mentoring students through academic advising or extracurricular activities like sports coaching or library services. Job Type: Part-time
