Middle School/High School Science Teacher

TITLE: MIDDLE SCHOOL/HIGH SCHOOL SCIENCE TEACHER

REPORTS TO: PRINCIPAL


Primary Purpose:

The American Baccalaureate School (ABS) is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Middle/High School Science Teacher for an immediate start. The teacher will inspire students in grades 6–12 through engaging lessons, hands-on experiments, and a strong college-preparatory curriculum.


Responsibilities:

  • Teach science courses across grades 6–12.
  • Plan and deliver lessons aligned with ABS curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Foster curiosity, collaboration, and critical thinking in the classroom.
  • Differentiate instruction to support students of varying abilities.
  • Design and assess labs, projects, and assignments with timely feedback.
  • Maintain accurate student progress records and communicate regularly with parents.
  • Ensure safe use of laboratory equipment and conduct risk assessments for experiments.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and school initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Valid teaching license/certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of successful science teaching experience.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to ABS’s mission of preparing responsible global citizens.

ABS is a private, non-profit school offering an American-based curriculum including a wide variety of advanced courses, and a college preparatory program, guiding students to become independent, intellectual global citizens.
