Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various mathematical disciplines, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Discrete Math. This position involves teaching students at different levels, fostering a positive learning environment, and developing engaging curriculum materials that meet the needs of all learners. The Mathematics Teacher will also be responsible for assessing student progress and providing support to enhance their understanding of mathematical concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Teach a range of mathematical subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Discrete Math.
  • Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
  • Assess student performance through standardized testing and provide constructive feedback.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a conducive learning environment.
  • Provide tutoring and mentoring support to students needing additional assistance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional design initiatives.
  • Participate in academic advising and support special education needs as required.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Education with a focus on Mathematics; higher education teaching experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of mathematical concepts including Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Trigonometry, Differential Equations, and Discrete Math.
  • Experience working with students in a classroom setting; private school experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Proven classroom management skills and experience in lesson planning.
  • Familiarity with educational technologies and instructional design principles.
  • Background in scientific research or laboratory experience is advantageous for interdisciplinary teaching opportunities (e.g., Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry).
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an educational team while also demonstrating independence when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
