Middleware Developer - Remote

For a well- known Islamic Bank in Bahrain, we are looking for an experienced Remote Middleware Integration Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade middleware solutions leveraging IBM Integration technologies. This role is critical in enabling seamless interoperability between core banking systems, digital channels, and external APIs, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across the integration landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain middleware solutions using IBM Integration technologies.
• Integrate core banking systems with digital channels and external APIs.
• Develop and maintain microservices architecture to support system interoperability.
• Build and manage RESTful APIs and API management solutions.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of middleware components.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize middleware performance.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for deployment and automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver integration solutions.
• Document technical designs, integration flows, and support procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of experience in middleware development.
• Strong background in the banking domain (preferred).

Technical Skills & Expertise

• IBM Integration technologies (Integration Bus / App Connect Enterprise).
• API Management (IBM API Connect).
• Microservices architecture.
• Messaging systems (IBM MQ, Kafka).
• Integration platforms and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB).
• RESTful API design and development.
• Containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Performance tuning and troubleshooting.

Certifications (Preferred)

• IBM Certified Developer – API Connect & App Connect Enterprise.
• IBM Certified Solution Developer – Integration Bus
