Midwifery- Certified Nurse- Midwife (CNM)- Athens

Overview:

Certified Nurse-Midwife – Outpatient OB/GYN– Athens, GA

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for a Certified Nurse-Midwife to join the OB/GYN team at Piedmont Athens Regional. The CNM will provide care to obstetric patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This is a 40 hour per week position with shifts which may be scheduled 7 days per week including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provision of prenatal care in an outpatient setting. Collaborative management with OBGYN physicians for high-risk obstetric patients.
• Delivery of patients in the inpatient setting and coordination of patient care with nursing staff, OB hospitalist, pharmacy, radiology and other service lines in hospital
• Provision of GYN care including contraceptive counseling and family planning services.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

Qualified candidates will have at least one year of experience working as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) in full scope practice.

Masters, Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited Masters of Nursing program and National Board Certification

Valid Georgia license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and be recognized by the Georgia Board of Nursing as a CNM. CNMs must be currently certified or pending certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
