Mig Welder

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mig Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations, primarily using MIG welding techniques, on steel components. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to the fabrication of portable staging.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on a variety of materials, primarily mild steel (adjust if needed)
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Prepare, position, and align components prior to welding
• Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
• Carry out minor fabrication and finishing tasks as required
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure a safe working environment
• Follow all health & safety regulations and company procedures

Skills

• Proven experience in MIG welding, with minimum of 3 years experience.
• Strong proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
• Proven ability to produce clean, high-quality welds
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately.
• Competence in working with sheet metal and understanding of basic fabrication principles.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail for quality assurance purposes.
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.

Pay: £12.21-£21.13 per hour
