We are seeking a skilled and experienced MIG Welder to join our steel fabrication team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding structural steel, metal components, and fabricated assemblies according to engineering drawings and company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on structural steel, sheet metal, and fabricated components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication plans.
• Prepare, fit, and align materials prior to welding.
• Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards.
• Inspect completed welds and perform necessary repairs or rework.
• Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting tools, and other fabrication equipment safely.
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper housekeeping in the work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Work closely with fabricators, supervisors, and quality inspectors to meet project deadlines.
• Report material defects, equipment issues, and safety concerns to the supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of MIG welding experience in a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety practices.
• Experience with structural steel fabrication is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a workshop environment.
