Overview

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, alignment, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and rotating machinery.
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other tools to ensure machinery operates within specified tolerances.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and equipment history.
  • Conduct electrical troubleshooting involving low voltage, high voltage, industrial electrician experience, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to resolve automation issues.
  • Operate various lifting devices such as scissor lifts safely to access elevated equipment or perform repairs at height.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to optimize production processes while adhering to safety protocols related to HVAC/R systems, welding (including <LOCATION> welding), and other mechanical tasks.
  • Support field service activities by traveling to different sites or customer locations as needed for troubleshooting or installation projects.
  • Assist in training team members on maintenance procedures and safety standards to foster a culture of continuous learning.

Experience

  • Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance practices.
  • Hands-on experience with hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and the use of precision measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and control systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Familiarity with CMMS platforms for work order management and maintenance tracking.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for troubleshooting complex machinery issues.
  • Strong analysis skills with the ability to diagnose problems efficiently using tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
  • Experience working with high voltage systems safely in compliance with industry standards.
  • Field service background preferred, along with customer service skills for effective communication with internal teams or external clients.
  • Military experience in technical roles is considered an asset due to discipline and technical proficiency. Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
