Mindful, Christian, Natural Living Family Seeks Calm, Intuitive, Proactive Nanny

ROLE: We are excited to announce that a loving family in Weston, Connecticut, is looking for a holistic nanny who is peaceful, driven, and organized to join their household. With baby number three on the way, this family is grounded in love and Waldorf principles, dedicated to creating an environment where their children feel whole and secure. We appreciate your interest and only hold space for those with a genuine devotion to children, bringing the necessary mindset and rich experience. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY WITHOUT PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE. APPLICATIONS MUST REFLECT THIS PASSION AND EXPERTISE. Thank you! We are a call away! ( 909) 74-BLISS (909-742-5477)

START DATE: As soon as possible / Whenever we feel in sync:

WHO YOU’LL CARE FOR: Three children, Ages: Infant, 1.5 years, and 3.5 years!

OUR CHILDREN ARE: Are fun and free! We have a Newborn soon to come any day now. I'm currently 40 weeks pregnant. Eden is 1.5 years. She is very expressive and enjoys being outdoors as much as possible. Eden confidently voices her desires and loves participating in household chores, such as putting away books and transferring clothes from the washer to the dryer. She’s a wonderful little helper, and we strive to keep encouraging her contributions to our family! Nathaniel is 3.5 years. He enjoys connecting various cords to different electronics (we maintain a screen-free environment) and creating all kinds of "machines." Although he's not particularly interested in toys, he can spend hours observing a plumber at work or anything related to engineering! He also has a deep love for music, so having a musician around would be a fantastic plus.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Someone who is deeply intentional and easygoing. In our ideal world, this person would be unabashedly Christian, looking to God for guidance in all aspects of life. They would embrace a natural and holistic lifestyle, understand the impact of toxins on health, and favor a non-toxic approach that avoids medications. We question mainstream medicine and recognize the pharmaceutical industry's questionable role in society.

We envision someone who embraces a hands-off approach to parenting, engaging with children only when they initiate interaction. They should be completely comfortable allowing children ample time for independent play without prompts. Safety concerns should not cause them anxiety; rather, they should be relaxed and willing to let children explore their physical boundaries.

This person should also recognize opportunities for unschooling, teaching children based on their interests without enforcing traditional academics. Collaboration is key; we want someone who can work with us as a team, ensuring we present unified narratives and approaches to problem-solving, negotiation, and boundary-setting.

We are inspired by Waldorf education and have read "Hunt, Gather, Parent," aligning closely with its methodology. We believe in giving children space to learn and grow, steering away from helicopter parenting. We host a weekly Waldorf Inspiredco-op with other families and love the community we building with other like-minded people.

We have 2 friendly dogs who just need to be let out and in from the yard. I will be on maternity leave for the first few months so the baby will be completely under my care and then will transition August or September to the nanny as I transition back to work. My husband and I both stay at home, working remotely.

We view nannies as professionals and, therefore, are committed to maintaining clear expectations and boundaries to set everyone up for success! Additionally, we are looking for a nanny who:

●Is comfortable with light household tasks (such as laundry and dishes) with or without the children's involvement, and the ability to multitask efficiently.

● Has the capability to prepare meals for the entire family 3 days a week.

●Can transport children to activities or drop them off as needed, with access to our vehicle.

WHAT WE’RE OFFERING:

RATE: $35-$40 per hour on payroll.

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week. We never ask for additional hours. We do not need travel support.

BENEFITS: Carriage house apartment situated above our detached garage. It features a fully renovated kitchen and a complete bathroom, along with a separate bedroom/living room that is approximately 250 square feet and comes furnished.
