Job Summary

The Mining Supervisor – Drill & Blast is responsible for supervising daily mining activities related to drilling, charging, blasting, ore/waste movement coordination, and crew safety at the project site.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day drill and blast activities at the gold mining site. Lead and monitor blasting crews, drillers, offsiders, and related support workers during each shift.

Ensure charging and blasting are carried out only by authorized personnel holding the required blasting certificate and internal site approvals.

Coordinate blasting schedules with mine planning, geology, survey, load & haul, and maintenance teams.

Verify blast areas are prepared, barricaded, cleared, and declared safe before firing.

Duties Specific to Blasting Certificate Holders

Personally supervise or carry out charging and blasting activities where permitted by company policy and legal/site authorization.

Confirm all explosives are issued, used, reconciled, and documented properly.

Inspect blast holes for depth, alignment, water condition, and readiness before charging.

Manage misfire procedures strictly according to approved blast management plans.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Mining Engineering, Quarrying, Geology, or related field.

Valid blasting certificate / shotfirer certification / explosives handling authorization acceptable for mining operations.

Additional supervisor safety training is preferred.

Saudi Arabia mining project experience is highly preferred.

Gold mining, open-pit, or underground drill-and-blast experience is an advantage depending on project type.

Experience Required

Minimum 5–8 years of mining experience, with at least 2–4 years in a supervisory drill & blast role.

Proven experience in supervising blasting crews, production activities, and shift operations.

Experience in gold mining projects is preferred.

Familiarity with blast planning, charging, initiation systems, and blast performance monitoring.

Pay: ﷼6,500.00 - ﷼8,500.00 per month
