• Design and plan safe and efficient mine operations (open-pit or underground)

• Oversee drilling, blasting, and material extraction processes

• Optimize production to reduce costs and environmental impact

• Use software for mine design, scheduling, and resource modeling

• Monitor mine safety, stability, and equipment performance

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

• Work with geologists, surveyors, and metallurgists

• Analyze production data and prepare technical reports

• Supervise teams of technicians and machine operators

• Travel to mining sites and work in remote or rugged environments
