Mining Engineer (Lakhra)

Job Description:

1. Exploring and surveying the proposed site, carrying out feasibility studies and supervising test drilling

2. Using computer-aided design (CAD) packages to design and plan underground and surface workings, such as tunnels and shafts

3. Ensuring that effective ventilation and pumping systems prevent gas, flooding and dust from affecting the mine

4. Supervising the running of the mine and the extraction of the minerals or ores

5. Managing drilling, blasting and other operations

6. Taking overall responsibility for working conditions and safety in the mine

7. Monitoring the effect the mine has on the local environment, and possibly restoring the site to its original state

8. Planning timetables, meeting budgets, writing reports and giving presentations

9. Looking at different ways of mining or improving mining systems.

Qualification : Bsc Mining Engineering

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum qualification is B.Sc. in Mining Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in underground mining (coal mining preferred).
• Must have experience in explosives handling and licensing.
• Good knowledge of mine planning software and safety procedures.
