Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented MIPS (Merit-based Incentive Payment System) Coordinator/Trainer to join our team. This role involves managing the implementation and ongoing support of MIPS programs, providing training to physicians, clinical and administrative staff, and ensuring compliance with federal reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for education and process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the collection, analysis, and submission of MIPS data in accordance with CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) guidelines.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training sessions on MIPS requirements, documentation procedures, and reporting processes for clinical staff and administrators.
- Provide technical support related to electronic health records (EHR), EMR systems, and other healthcare IT platforms involved in MIPS reporting.
- Assist in troubleshooting software issues related to data entry, reporting tools, or system integrations such as Oracle, AWS cloud services, or operating systems like Windows, macOS, or Linux.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CMS policies, updates to MIPS scoring criteria, and relevant healthcare regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Collaborate with IT teams to optimize computer networking, software applications like Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and Google Workspace for efficient data management.
- Support staff in understanding analysis reports using Visio or other visualization tools to improve performance metrics.
- Participates in multiple concurrent projects of varying size and complexity, helping ensure that all work is accomplished efficiently and in accordance with project expectations.
- Establish and maintain strong, effective working relationships with staff and vendors.

Experience
- Proven experience in technical support within healthcare settings or IT departments specializing in healthcare systems.
- Demonstrated ability to teach or train staff on complex software applications and healthcare protocols.
- Strong computer management skills including proficiency with EMR systems, G-suite, Adobe Acrobat, and help desk support tools.
- Knowledge of computer networking principles, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), cloud platforms like Slack is preferred.
- Experience working with CMS programs such as MIPS or MACRA is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively across diverse teams.
