Overview:
Acuity, Inc. seeks a Mission Area Expert to serve as a senior subject matter expert supporting business analysis, process automation, and enterprise modernization initiatives within a federal financial regulatory environment. This role provides highly specialized guidance across complex, mission-critical efforts, with a focus on evaluating business operations, identifying automation and process improvement opportunities, and aligning IT solutions to organizational objectives. The Mission Area Expert operates independently, advises program leadership, and supports the development of strategies, roadmaps, and implementation approaches that improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance mission outcomes.

- Provide senior-level expertise supporting business process analysis, BPI/BPR initiatives, and enterprise process automation efforts (including RPA), from use case identification through testing, rollout, and evaluation of outcomes

Perform feasibility, gap, policy, and market analyses, along with alternatives analysis and cost-benefit/ROI assessments, to inform strategic and tactical decision-making and prioritization

Support requirements management, strategic planning, application portfolio analysis, and financial analysis to align business needs with automation and IT modernization initiatives

Develop reports, briefings, and recommendations for senior stakeholders, and support organizational change management activities to enable adoption of improved and automated processes

Provide guidance across IT modernization and project control activities, including cost and schedule estimation, evaluation of legacy systems, and resolution of complex delivery risks and issues
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in business analysis, enterprise transformation, or related domain roles with deep subject matter expertise in complex organizational environments

Demonstrated expertise in business process evaluation, BPI/BPR, and enterprise process automation initiatives (e.g., RPA)

Experience performing feasibility studies, gap analysis, alternatives analysis, and cost-benefit/ROI analysis in support of strategic decision-making

Experience supporting requirements management, organizational change management, and business and IT alignment across large programs

Demonstrated experience supporting mission-critical implementations exceeding $5M in value within complex government or commercial organizations

Strong understanding of IT modernization, project control, and enterprise system environments, including evaluation of legacy systems and transition strategies

Proven ability to operate independently, synthesize complex information, and deliver actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders

Demonstrated industry engagement through publications, presentations, or participation in professional organizations preferred

Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field required
