Mitigation Manager & Xactimate Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Mitigation Manager with estimating experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction insurance estimating and mitigation management, with proficiency in Xactimate software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project specifications and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates
• Utilize software such as Xactimate, Symbility, Encircle, and other construction management tools for estimating purposes
• Control costs by evaluating project scope changes, materials, and labor requirements
• Develop detailed proposals and contracts for construction projects
• Manage multiple estimating projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Lead and oversee day-to-day mitigation projects, ensuring quality work and safety standards are met
• Supervise and train mitigation technicians while managing job schedules and resources
• Prepare detailed estimates and control project costs for insurance and non-insurance jobs
• Communicate effectively with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and vendors to provide updates and resolve issues
• Ensure thorough project documentation, including moisture readings, photos, and daily logs
• Respond to emergency mitigation situations (water, fire, mold, etc.) as needed
• Maintain high-quality service while meeting deadlines and industry standards

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Xactimate, Symbility, Encircle and related estimating software
• Strong knowledge of cost control methods in construction projects
• Ability to interpret project plans and specifications accurately
• Strong analytical skills to assess project requirements and build accurate estimates
• Minimum 3 years of construction estimating experience (Required)
