ROLE: Air-Con Engineer
SALARY: £48,000 – £50,000 per annum
LOCATION: South East – covering postcodes S, SE, E, N, Essex and Surrey
CONTRACT: Permanent | 40hrs | No call-out rota | No shift
At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day. We're looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join our maintenance team, supporting a portfolio of schools across the South East.
Role Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain and fault-find air conditioning systems, including split units
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across M&E systems within school environments
- Work on single and three-phase power systems, HVAC equipment, pumps, motors and inverters
- Operate and troubleshoot building management systems (BMS) and lighting circuits
- Apply a proactive, problem-solving approach and support broader business requirements as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant engineering role
- F-Gas certification and NVQ Level 2 or higher in Air Conditioning or a related discipline
- Strong working knowledge of air conditioning systems and associated building services
- Ability to pass an Advanced DBS check due to work within school environments
